The transitions is very repetitive and adds no value to the run. I suggest either take it out or allow the option to skip it; Grim just becomes silent after a few runs, so what's the point of having that transition? Could go a different direction where you just let the sim run endlessly and have upgrades and/or allow reapings at certain intervals. Leveling contributes nothing to the game (currently at lv30).
The little guys sometimes run (and build houses) behind the UI and/or out of PoV, so you should restrict them into a window.
Super fun game! Definitely not perfect, but if you suffer through the early part (like other people say, upgrades initially cost too much compared to your income) the pace picks up and it gets really enjoyable. Prestige, thank goodness, actually DOUBLES your income (not just +10% like displayed). Every time, it appears. I've prestiged 3x now I think. The houses, by the way, can get bigger! Nice surprise, looking forward to see if there are even bigger ones still or other surprises as I go on. Biggest annoyance, apart from the too-slow early game: The post-run collection screen is intensely obnoxious after seeing it a hundred times, and furiously clicking to speed it along. Need a little checkbox option to skip it entirely, or 'Next Day' button right there so I can jump back into a run.
its a nicely made game, but the progression is too slow. also why cant it start with 10x speed? would be great to be able to buy a new meaningful upgrade every 2-3levels at most, rather than having to do >10!< runs just to get double coins from people for example. since the runs themselves are almost identical the progression needs to be sped up to make it more fun
Thanks for the feedback! Im working right now to make the game faster and to make the main loop more interesting.
OMG AN OBOL GAME <3
These guys seriously need to get their freak on, it's probably more time efficient to just wipe them out ASAP rather than let them try to reproduce.
For that matter, maybe I'll think about upgrading the max capacity to 75 once I've had 25 villagers in a simulation just once.
Slight spoilers but once you upgrade ram once you unlock upgrades to increase the chance of them getting their freak o
That happens when you upgrade capacity from 25 to 50. I don't see a reason to level capacity to 3 before the population starts to climb past capacity level 1, despite the capacity 3 upgrade being half the cost of any upgrade I'd actually like.
the game should be a bit more balanced now
Good concept, but the game progression is too slow: the price of the upgrades is too high, they give almost nothing, the "level up / cash out" page should be much faster or skippable.
Leveling doesn't seem to do anything, and the upgrades seem obscenely expensive for how long it takes to to runs, and how little you get from it, even if you do the kill everyone and loop again strategy. I can tell it's an issue because when i accidentally tabbed out and lost my progress i just dropped the game entirely.
the artstyle and astetich is great though
Valid! Thank you for playing!
Unless I'm missing something the prices of most of the upgrades are way to high.
Just made some cheaper at the start, thx for playing!
